The error message "Installation Incomplete" appears during installation (varying error codes)
Possible error codes:

There are many reasons that might interfere with the installation process.
Terminating the installation prematurely may trigger this error message to appear. If you wish to cancel the installation, click on the CLOSE button in the error message. Otherwise, if you wish to proceed with the setup but continue to receive this error message follow the procedure below:
- A. Close running applications
Some applications wherein a Trend Micro Titanium feature will be installed needs to be closed before you install the program.
Please close the following application:
- Your email program
- Your Internet browser
Run the installer again. If you continue to get the error message, proceed in following the procedure below.
- B. Check for and remove any viruses that might be on your system.
Some viruses are designed to interfere with the installation of your security software.
To detect and remove any malware (malicious software like viruses and spyware) from your system, run our online scanner, HouseCall.
- C. Check your computer for conflicting software.
Having third-party security software or older versions of Trend Micro products present in your computer may lead to installation problems.
If you have Google Desktop installed, please uninstall this, reboot your computer and try again to install Trend Micro Titanium.
Make sure you remove all components of these programs from your system by contacting the program’s manufacturer or refer to their support websites for uninstallation instructions.

- D. Ensure that you have adequate permissions to install
- Delete the contents of the C:\Windows\Temp folder.
- Go to C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\ and check if there is tmtdi.sys.
i. Delete the tmtdi.sys file if you find it in the folder.
- Run the Permission Tool
i. Download the tool here
ii. Close the tool once the permissions are set
- Check the following locations and delete the Trend Micro folder if you find it:
i. C:\Program Files\
ii. C:\ProgramData\ (for Windows Vista/7)
iii. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ (for Windows XP)
Note: you may need to show hidden files and folders to see these locations
- Open Registry Editor then delete TrendMicro entry if you find it:
- Restart the computer
- E. Remove traces of previous installations
If you previously encountered problems and you are reinstalling the software when you received the error message, use the Diagnostic Toolkit to remove all components of the old copy you previously installed.

- F. Retry the installation
Once you have performed these steps, please try the installation again.

Also ensure that all previous version of Trend Micro and other incompatible programs are fully removed before trying the installation again. To view a list of conflicting software, refer to solution:

There is an error with the installation folder (1005), creating the shortcut (2008) or with the registry folder (1006). Ensure that these are accessible and that you have full administrative rights on the PC.
#0, 2001, 0x000 – Package source path error
Ensure that the installation source (CD, DVD, USB, external or network drive) is available during the entire installation process. Disable Windows User Account Control if enabled.
#0, 2019, 0x000 – Failed to get language setting
Please try the installation again using the default language.
#1618, 0, 0x000 – Installer error, installing two software at the same time
This error will come up if there is another installation in progress. Try the installation of Trend Micro again and ensure that there is no other software installation taking place.
#1603, 3002, 0x000 – Installation stops between 70% and 100%
Perform step D above.
#1603, 3003, 0x000
This issue happens when there are conflicting programs installed on your computer. In this case, it is Google Desktop. To resolve this issue, please uninstall Google Desktop, restart your computer and try again to install Trend Micro Titanium.
